Study: Autism and Employment
Today, many employers, especially in certain industries, are taking steps to proactively recruit and hire people with autism and other neurological conditions. Key to the success of these initiatives is effective training, job preparation and support. Newly published research supports the criticalness of these conditions to on-the-job success, showing that, once hired, nine out of 10 transition-age youth with autism who received intensive training and other employment support services went on to become long-term, valued employees.
