Disability Statistics

 

The ICDR Subcommittee on Disability Statistics (SDS) aims to advance the quality and availability of disability statistics and data by establishing greater coordination and collaboration of existing and newly developing relevant federal activities, including data standards, by promoting the adoption and implementation of related efforts, and by acting as a resource for others interested in disability statistics and data.

Activity Update

 

  • The Subcommittee on Disability Statistics hosted a State of the Science on Disability Statistics in February 2023.
  • The subcommittee initiated work on a Disability Data & Statistics toolkit in early 2023.
  • In 2023, the subcommittee finalized a document with its purpose, objectives, and action items.
  • In 2022, the Subcommittee on Disability Statistics was reinvigorated and held its first meeting as well as a Disability Statistics Roundtable.
  • The previous iteration of this subcommittee, the Interagency Subcommittee on Disability Statistics (ISDS), was continuously active from 1981 to 2015.
