Disability & Employment Policy Symposium: Research Informing Practice and Policy

Purpose

The symposium will examine the state of the science and interactions among employment research, practice, and policy. It will examine how research-based knowledge can affect practice and policy and how practice and policy can influence research.

Objectives

  • To identify research-based knowledge that can be useful and relevant for policy and practice.
  • To identify gaps in research and evaluation needed to better inform policy and practice.
  • To identify strategies to improve collaboration between researchers and policymakers.

This panel will examine how disability employment research can be useful and relevant to the needs of employers, policymakers, and workers with disabilities.
